Nokia X includes “Nokia Browser 1.0”. User Agent includes “Android 4.1.2”, “Chrome/27” and “Nokia_X” pic.twitter.com/sB5DFnDlvi

@firt Thank you. I'd gone online specifically to ask that question. Now which browser is it: Chrome, Android WebKit, or something else?

@ppk Something else; it’s called “Nokia Browser 1.0”, Chromium-based. Naming and versioning at Nokia’s browsers was always complicated.

@firt Tell me about it. But you figure the Chrome 27 part is the closest to the truth, then?

@ppk Opera, Chromium-based and with last version. Not sure why they need two Chromium-based browsers pre-installed.

@firt They aren't running Google Play, so they aren't allowed to use Chrome. And maybe they aren't too sure of their own browser.

@ppk Exactly. We might see Firefox, Opera Mini but probably not Chrome on Nokia Store; but on this world you never know

@firt Plus a boatload of minor browsers. Still, I expect new Nokia browser to resemble Chrome a lot. But we'll see.

@ppk The UI today is too simple, not even bookmarks. I hope the final version will be different and with a remote debugger.

@firt OK, that settles it. The Nokia browser is pre-beta, and they need a good one, so Opera.

@ppk Look at the about screen; not even mentioning Chromium usage license - it seems alpha pic.twitter.com/1hSlg99OB3

@firt @ppk I am trying to bug @andreatrasatti to confirm about the browsers. He has been good at keeping secrets from me ;-)
