This will probably affect analytics such as Google Analytics and @statcountergs. I guess it will affect at some point device libraries such as WURFL from @scientiamobile
I wonder how this will impact PWAs that use the UA to distinguish iOS from Android in order to offer a more platform accurate experience (moving elements to more native locations for that platform).
I don't think that will be affected at this point because it's a freeze, not a removal. You will be able to tell the difference between ios and Android, but not which Android

I see zero reason this spec would fix the UA hell. Vendor would lie thr same way, devs would still do it wrong. Wanna fix this « problem »? Just empty the damn string altogether, or make this OS wise.
