The new version of PWA Builder is out. —New Web Components —PWA Launcher Packaging now includes 1) a ready-to-PlayStore launcher APK, 2) macOS build, 3) Windows 10 package and a nice mention to Samsung Galaxy Apps distribution. Packaging for iOS was removed as announced.

It’s 2020 and there are still some apps not validating email addresses on account registration. This morning someone with name Funke registered an account, took a trip in Nigeria, and didn't pay it using my email address with Funke, pay your bills!

    It’s there in Chrome 80

Fijate en el artículo de este hilo que comenté ese tema en donde no se instalan las PWAs

The new Microsoft Edge is now available for Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and macOS. Android and iOS versions are also available but despite the new logo I'm not sure if they have anything new.

It's a PWA created by a web app generator, so I guess the problem is on the template, not an actual restaurant responsibility. Even they are promoting installation though banners, but it's not technical a PWA. (And it's quite slow 😒)

I got a parking ticket in Cambridge, . I paid with the app. The app doesn't offer you a solution so I had to send a web claim to the traffic department; the response can only be received by mail to US only.Instead of apologizing, they say it was my fault, which is false 😒

UX issue on PWA/web. My login credentials were not working. I've changed them 3 times 🤨 Support confirmed it's for "security reasons" because I'm not in US. Terrible UX, worse because you can use same account in many countries. — "Use a VPN" they suggested 😳

  9. A macOS update that updates nothing in the OS. All updates in release notes are for pre-installed apps that could be updated separately, if you are interested about those apps.

  10. Interesting. publishes what's new in Safari & iOS 13, three months later. They try hard not to use the term PWA but they fail saying "websites saved to the home screen". Only standalone (home screen?) webapps got these changes, not every website

  11. A year and a half ago I tweeted about a creepy entertainment system in a seat with a camera pointing at you. I'm back on that same plane but now the camera is covered with a sticker 😜

  12. Transparent icons on iOS? It's a bug on PWAs using transparent icons and it looks like that for just 1 second after getting out of the app. Don't use transparent pngs for Apple Touch icons 😜

  13. I don’t know what to think about this product. You can now buy the Escobar Fold 1 - a foldable Android smartphone at US$349. I’m not sharing the link; you’ll understand why if you search for it. Start with the company in wikipedia: Escobar Inc, then search the phone.

  14. "Use applications instead of browsers, as applications need less data and will work better for you" Instructions from an in flight Wi-Fi service

  15. . paid to show me an offer: the website has a third-party iframe that doesn’t work on modern Chrome or Safari because of cookies. No user will make the changes you are requesting. Do not frustrate your users.

That was just a list from my memory, I had to watch the video again to be accurate. I’ve checked again on the share target mention and this was the screenshot I found confusing / mistaken. As far as I understand, it’s already implemented, not the future.

  17. Late to I’m disappointed with the “PWA and the Installable Web” talk 👎 many technical errors and misinterpretations of reality with Install process and manifest 👍 confirmation that: 1) “ATH” will be replaced by “Install” 2) TWA is for PWA in Play Store

  18. For those of you interested, Google+ is a PWA 😲

  19. Finally, an official word from Chrome that Trusted Web Activities is the tool to publish PWAs on the Play Store!
