Just told by TIFF that industry have the RIGHT to blatantly use phones in the film. They will 'take my complaints' but nothing can be done.

well, in industry screenings, people are there "to work". So, making notes, taking calls, etc, is "allowed".

It's still rude as fuck, but I get it. At least it's not allowed in public screenings. That would be abominable.
