I changed my default browser/search setup on both desktop and mobile to Firefox/DuckDuckGo. It was incredibly painless and literally haven't noticed anything different besides the UI.

You don’t have to open the main pane to use the Eyedropper. If you put the "Developer" button in your toolbar, it‘s two clicks away.

I was working on some `:visited` styles, and couldn’t figure out why the alpha of my `hsla()` was being ignored. I moved it to `opacity` and it still was ignored… but Firefox reminded me WHY it was being ignored. Thank you, Firefox! I had somehow forgotten about those limits.

A screenshot of the Firefox Web Inspector. Next to a grayed-out `opacity: 0.1;` is a lowercase 'i' in a circle. Above that, a popup says: “It’s impossible to override opacity due to :visited restriction.” This is followed by a “Learn more” hyperlink.

The tells you which elements have scroll overflows!! I've spent countless hours debugging why I'm seeing two scrollbars in the past, this is a life saver!

Really enjoying this tag in the Inspector tab that tells you which elements are scrolling. Very handy!

So I ventured into contributing to . I want to add a "Store as global variable" in the breakpoint panel. The dev tool is a giant React/Redux app. I've got a first working POC against any hope 😅. The team is super helpful and welcoming, will document my journey.

the changes tab in has been CRITICAL to helping my web design students design in the browser. And, being able to see the events assigned to DOM elements in the inspector has helped immensely when navigating a project with hundreds of JS files. 🎉🔥

The console autocomplete popup now displays variables, functions and classes declared in the input (even if the expression wasn't evaluated yet). This should help when writing longer snippets 🙂
