it's really weird how some people think their psychology and their neurochemistry are different things. like, your psychology IS your neurochemistry. that's how it works

I mean, a lot of (most?) people believe in some sort of extraphysical self directing things. In which case I guess it makes sense to see your neurochem as something distinct? Which of course contributes to various hangups about psych care, but good luck convincing them otherwise

what i'm referring to is the obviously-false intersection of the two e.g. believing in neurochemistry, but nonetheless inadvertently borrowing language and assumptions that don't work with it

1/ When I think verbally, I think with a voice that can come from anywhere. Sometimes it is in my head, upper left front, lower right by my jaw. These are spatiotemporally located events.

2/ They are probably correlated with some brain activity. No idea how. I trust neuroscientists (to an extent) though. But brain activity is also a spatiotemporally located event, and located differently from those verbal thoughts. Their character is completely different
