My mama was a midwife, then a nurse; my papa was in the american air force; my pops was a tube driver; and it's just occurred to me that I have no idea what my grandma did. (Isn't that terrible? Gonna text my dad and ask)

The big takeaways I'm getting from this are: 1) pretty much everyone's grandparents had the same jobs their whole lives, basically unheard of now; 2) you all love your grandparents a lot, and that is beautiful.

My bf and I lived with my mama in her house in London for two years, which enabled us to save so we could go on the trip of a lifetime, and i'm not sure I'll ever be able to convey how grateful we are to her for it.
