The concern is these exchanges are always one sided, despite how central ‘Five Eyes’ is in US-Aus relations, we don’t get similar privileges. We tend to kowtow a lot and are more than happy to disregard with our own privacy rights.

I think you are touching on a few different (though related) things. We get a lot out of 5 eyes but yes there are concerns that PG has a greater focus on US security concerns than Aus ones. Des was doing some work on this with Richard Tanter towards the end
