This could go on for a long time, but there's a lot of evidence this is simply because this government doesn't like to be called out on its failures.
If you want to show my colleagues support for the hard work they do each day on calling out this government, the opposition, the police, the leaders in the ACT then subscribe to the @canberratimes or a Fairfax publication and value their work.
You lost me when you endorsed the opposition at the last state election. Published their press releases as journalism and didn’t hold them to account with their dud policies, eg ditching safe schools. Holding to account is fine, just has to be consistent.
We obviously haven’t been running their PR for them, considering his comments and the articles listed in this thread as a tiny example. He is not challenging the media, he wants to bypass mainstream media because it holds governments to account. Calling for the downfall of your city's independent media is not progressive, it's dangerously authoritarian
