This is a very misleading headline. Marie Stopes Canberra do vasectomies on the second Wednesday of each month- which happens to fall on V-Day this year. Can’t say it’s “most popular” when only one other vasectomy day has happened this yearhttps://twitter.com/canberratimes/status/962921709509726208 …

Hey Lauren, I was told by Marie Stopes this was traditionally their busiest day of the year for vasectomies.

I was there a couple of weeks ago and they said vasectomies are done on Wednesdays. I assume the second week of feb is their most popular time, but they couldn’t be doing vasectomies V-Day every year considering the day of the week of the 14th changes?

Could be the result of misleading info from them because it makes a better story, or they’ve changed the day of the week they do them, or they told me the wrong thing when I was in there a few weeks ago.

I know from past experience that they have days of the week they do certain procedures because there isn’t enough demand to have them all the time- Eg they only perform abortions on Fridays (and have done for many years)

Hey Lauren, I've sought clarification on this. I was told multiple times in my IV for this yarn that it was Valentine's Day. I didn't know they only did vasectomies on specific days, so to clarify: around / week of V-Day is most popular for vasectomies.

So that is traditionally, over the years, on V-Day / week of V-Day is most popular for vasectomies.
