Almost every law enforcement in Australia collects data on status of Aboriginality when interacting with police (b/c deaths in custody, etc)
Is it necessary to know if someone is Aboriginal if they're tipping you off about some spray paint on a wall?

I see your point, but it all relates back to interaction w officers & sending out best trained people etc. Not defending - just explaining.

The point of this app is that it's for non-emergency matters, can (should) be anonymous + doesn't require someone to interact w/ cops.
