Dave Sharma told parli he met with the Iranian ambassador to discuss the case of Kylie Moore-Gilbert, the Australian academic jailed in Iran under espionage charges. He says he doesn't want Australia to forget Dr Moore-Gilbert, as the country focuses on Julian Assange.
"There are many Australians being held overseas at any given time but I think this case does demand our special attention.
A young woman is being held far from home, in very trying conditions ... her future is bleak."
