In Canberra bushfire smoke is causing: - some MRIs in Canberra Hospital to fail - Australia Post to cancel deliveries out of worker safety - sporting games to be axed - outdoor and indoor pools to close - shops to close due to worker safety
To add to that: - ventilator masks are selling out (and health authorities are saying that won’t do much anyway) - people are sleeping in motels because their houses are clogged with smoke - BOM says with fires to the east and west, wind change wont do much to help

How are the echidnas travelling though?
The echidnas are in breeding season and the parks are in drought and others are burning. So food and water will be scarcer. There are various citizen initiatives to support them, but the silence from @actgovernment is deafening. Could be the tipping point for biodiversity :(
