It was at the very end of E3 - the last hours. The GameSpot stage show was over, and

I remember my first E3. It was - 2003, maybe, or 2004. I stayed with

We crashed the GameSpot wrap party. Well, not really - I think

I remember my first and only Tokyo Game Show. A fan recognised me in line and ran up to give me a hug. He was so upset I'd gotten flak for my review of Too Human, he was all but sobbing. A striking and sweet moment, unforgettable.

I never went to parties, the GS wrap party aside. I was too awkward, too boring, didn't drink. It was the games, and the people, and the devs and producers at the booth, and the other editors in the war room that gave me life.
