Even though I watched on my computer the way I tune into meetings, meet friends for coffee, and watch movies, this still felt different. A tremendous testament to the excellent acting and moving script/storytelling -- I really felt like I was there.

There are lots of reasons the service is worth saving, among them: ✅Hull residents who take the ferry save significant travel time to Boston. ✅Hewitt's Cove has become a transit-oriented-development with relatively dense housing adjacent to the ferry terminal.

There are many reasons for the decline in ridership (mostly coronavirus causing people who once relied on it to work from home), but it has less service now on weekdays (25 daily departures to Boston compared with 32 last summer) and none on weekends.

There has been a ferry from Hewitt's Cove in Hingham since 1975, but the MBTA ferries from Hingham and Hull are at risk of being cut as a cost saving measure. (a thread)

Overjoyed to see that there’s a new ferry in Boston Harbor thanks to a recent purchase by AND it’s been named for Crispus Attucks. 👏🏼👏🏼 You may see it out in the harbor as Bay State Cruises tests it out, but there is no scheduled service or official route yet.
