Given that 0 = π - π 1 = π / π p / q = (π + ... + π)/(π + ... + π) You can encode Dumbo_the_elephant_1080p.mp4 with 0 parameters and a big formula :) "How many bits to draw a raster elephant in Tromp's binary lambda calculus?" is a more theoretically sound challenge.
-
A more interesting problem: what's the least bits you need to describe a shape immediately recognizable as an elephant 90% of the time?

Naaah, shouldn't 4 complex parameters count as 8 real-valued parameters?...

I made an animated gif out of it. I used it in an argument over some poor cycle fitting statistics. https://www.glaciology.net/2015/sea-level-the-moon-and-frankenstein/ …pic.twitter.com/gCt2hDENsm

Don't you need a 6th parameter for the eye?

-
The x and y coordinates of the eye are identical and defined by the imaginary part of the 5th parameter, whose real part is the "wiggle parameter". So the non-wiggling elephant has no eye
