        No, they are errors. Wobbling/nutation is a much smaller/slower changing effect. The figure-eight pattern corresponds to the equation of time-- due to Earth's tilt and orbital eccentricity.

        I did this in an astronomy class onetime with the moon. We had to draw a landscape then chart it at a set time over a month. Really fun and interesting.
