"Chaos" has a specific meaning in physics: an exponential dependence on initial conditions. You learn about it in first-year.

A talk said you can only predict chaotic pendulum positions with probability. chimes w/ quantum positions, just coincidence?

The two are unrelated. Because chaotic systems have an exponential dependence on initial conditions, prediction is hard.
