And the poles are the only 2 places on Earth with a single latitudinal direction.

On an Air Force mission once as a Navigator, I was once asked for a heading just before we reached the N pole, as we arrived I simply said “For the next leg, I would recommend...”South. The only i have to tell you is which direction South. Come left 25 degrees.”
