        Agreed! The really interesting point Jackson makes is that the existence of one single magnetic monopole in the universe would offer an explanation (by Dirac) of the discrete nature of the electrical charge. Elegantly explained by Jackson.

        But it's not a proof that monopoles don't exist. If they did, we'd have to add a term related to magnetic charge to the equation, just as Maxwell's equations for electric fields have a term for electric charge.

        Maxwell's First Law defines electric flux/ volume Maxwell's Third Law states if there is a magnetic field there will be an electric field and fourth law explains if there is an electric field, there will be a magnetic field. But I like this one most.

        The existence of a magnetic field is not sufficient to have an electric field, and vice versa.
