Entropy is the measure of the disorder of a system. Ex: A block of ice will increase entropy as it melts. As ice melts molecules break their original crystal lattice and spread further apart. The Universe is full of irreversible processes that continuously increase its entropy.pic.twitter.com/oKIeNxRzWK

As a biochemist we use entropy as one of the mechanism of enzyme catalysis. The enzyme brings substrates close and lowers the entropy

Copenhagen interpretation says no. Hidden variable theories say yes.

@hopperta_ A entropia (a deterioração) também pode ser encontrada na história humana. Civilizações também se deterioram (força entrópica: o estado). O ouro não sofre entropia. Que metal especial! Não é coincidência que ele seja a moeda por excelência.

Entropy (S) is a measure of disorder in a system. The entropy of the universe can never decrease with time, that is why we can tell past and future apart (arrow of time). The formula was found by Boltzmann (it's engraved in his tombstone). [Wiki http://goo.gl/hnmCoi ] #Weeqly pic.twitter.com/7BQ4i7cCRr

Entropy was discovered by late Pleistocene explorer Ogg, sometimes known as Og or Oggg. He observed the ice melting in what is now Friesland near the Trop River. Sadly, he was standing on the ice. Thus his End-Trop-y.
