Should be "Largest", If there is larger number we can just compute other prime by trying to add all possible 9 digits in front of prime number.

Here’s a pencil with that number — which remains prime no matter how much you sharpen it!https://mathsgear.co.uk/products/truncatable-prime-pencil …

This is the nerdiest thing I've ever seen. Love it

There was an effort by Lewis Innitowin (1794-1853) near Leeds to find the largest truncatable prime. But he suffered terrible tinnitus and misheard the challenge. Nevertheless. a large stand of pine trees still grows near his old home.

There are a lot of questions about a proof for this. It should be easy to prove by exhaustion. Show that you can't add more digits to this, then work through the same exercise starting with single digits 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7. You have a fairly limited set of possibilities.

This is both useless and fascinating at the same time!

In base 12, there’s a 32-digit left truncatable prime:pic.twitter.com/4jbn7FSid7

Base 18 goes higher still, with 43 digits! The OEIS list currently only goes up to base 14: https://oeis.org/A103443 pic.twitter.com/H05hyZjdFH
