The distribution of women and men across academic disciplines seems to be affected by perceptions of intellectual brilliance. Today's paper presents 4 studies performed to assess the perception of brilliance by young children aged 5 to 7. So that’s key graph. The frequency with which boys (blue) rate a male as the smartest (top) or nicest (bottom) when offered an alternative male/femelle in stories and pictures at age 5, 6 and 7. Same with girls (red). Between age 5 and 7, a gendered way of thinking emerges…pic.twitter.com/9ZmT4WGAJG

No doubt huge bias. A 3 Q iq test, Found 4 high iq individuals the following correlated re sex: 👩🏼‍🎓patience 👨🏻‍🎓risk taking I think things have changed now tho, women r far more assertive. 4 me tho, as a kid assertiveness wasn’t encouraged, had 2 rely on soft power 4 survival.🤔pic.twitter.com/7uIY7ftmN7
