Is the no. of Emirps even ?

-
I would think the set of all emirps is even, regardless of being infinite, as it consists of pairs of prime numbers, each of which is a emirp.

Is there an infinitude of emirps?
-
That made me wonder, would the plural of "emirp" be "semirp" or "emirps"?

What's the point coming up with all those numbers' properties which are highly dependent on the chosen base? I suppose emirp numbers will not be the same in base 2 or 3 for example. So those properties tell us nothing about intrinsic characteristics of numbers.

There are nice results about base dependent properties of numbers such as palindromes ranging from simple ones, e.g. all base 10 palindromic primes > 11 have odd number of digits, to deep results such that all numbers can be decomposed into a sum of 3 palindromes in any base > 2

So 19 and 23, even though they are prime, are not emirp numbers.
