In 1955, Harry Furstenberg at the time an undergrad at Yeshiva University wrote this fascinating 1-page topological proof that there are infinitely many prime numbers. Here's the annotated version: https://fermatslibrary.com/s/on-the-infinitude-of-primes …pic.twitter.com/y8mLeZdKWe

Some think that Furstenberg’s proof is Euclid’s proof in disguise! There are others to chose from though. http://irma.math.unistra.fr/~dotsenko/teaching/files/MA2316-1314/Primes1.pdf …

Mordant Fleischman (1938-1998) discovered an interesting corollary to this proof. It enables laymen to distinguish “leap years” from “neap tides.” This is useful if you have birthdays or dig clams. Fleischman also invented “soup forks.”

Assuming God is a mathematician, which He is, this proves He obtained a major in Topology.
