99 and 4879 are not Kaprekar number. Correct series is 9, 45, 55,297, 703, 2223, 2728, 4950, 5050, 7272, 7777, 17344, 22222, 77778, 82656, 142857, 148149 etc

Based on this theory, 297 is not correct because there is a bias in the split. How do you add up 882 + 09 to obtain 297?

There isn’t any bias in the split, the number of digits in each part doesn’t need to be equal. Or at least it can be split in one part of n digits and a second one of n-1 digits.
