    In 1991 M. Joyner wrote a paper modeling the optimal marathon performance on the basis of physiological factors and predicted a time of 1:57:58 under limit conditions.         In 2005 made same paper about 100m predicting 9"70 (9"74 A.Powell @Rieti)in 2009 Bolt runned in 9"58.

        Unfortunately it is not eligible for world record, because it was not an open competition: a team of 42 pacemakers ran with him, together with GPS-driven car with laser pointer for projected pace.
