Here's an excellent visualization made on Kerbal Space Program :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Si6iRL5Fj8 …

Kerbal Space Program also made it easy to intuitively understand gyroscopic precession. I highly recommend all high school physics students to have a go at playing the game at least once.

Any relationship to Earth potentially reversing its poles?
-
Interesting idea. Rotating currents. The problem is that the magnetic field fades to nothing and then re-establishes itself in the opposite direction. In this effect, angular momentum is conserved throughout, so any field would not flip.

Will it ever loses its rotational energy?
-
There are air molecules in the space station causing friction. This will reduce its kinetic energy over time.
