km/s actually - kilometer per second. Not Km/s - kelvin-meter per second.

K m/s would be Kelvin meters per second km/s is right, even though kilo is an enhancing prefix.

@fermatslibrary assume this approximates each as a perfect sphere and assumes "launch" immediately at, and normal to, surface? Also does this take into account the atmosphere of each? Guessing not because if it did then some object shape would have to be assumed? -
Escape velocity is independent of launch angle, provided you aim away from the surface of the body, and does not account for atmospheric drag.
