this is simply because the "e' in 'eight 'is first out of "o,t,t,f,f,s,s,e,n,t" and the 'b' in 'billion' is first out of all other possibilities after 'eight'

So, I could start have a naming system where all even numbers started with b and odds with c, and then the infinity of evens would come before the first odd?

Eight billion and five surely? 8,000,000,005

Even if you pretend not to use the ‘and’ which is wrong the. It should at least be 8,018,018,885

8018018851 is first prime in alphabetical order in the English language: "eight billion eighteen million eighteen thousand eight hundred and fifty-one". It was found by Donald Knuth. All other numbers that occur earlier in alphabetical order (like 8 and 8018018881) are composite.

Erm, surely then it should be “eight billion eighteen million eighteen thousand eight hundred and eighty five” in your example?.... I still think 8,000,000,005 is the first though
