on a more serious note: sometimes it takes decades before people start paying attention to at least some of the things you did; often you get noticed not for what you think were you “hardest” papers (Zorn complained to me once that he doesn’t want to be remembered for his Lemma)

The content of the paper.

Ah but before you read it, you don't know the content. For me the title generally decides if I go to the abstract, then that decides if I have a proper look in the paper. But I imagine there exist people who skip over papers unless they are by known people in good journals
