Combined with fixed 28 days x 13 months year, it would be ideal time system

The revolutionary calendar actually grouped the days also by 10 ("décades"), 3 of which made a month, and 12 months plus a few special days made a year (starting at the autumn equinox)

Interesting .... wonder why it didn't become popular, like the rest of the metric system?

Might have to do with 60 being divisible by 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30, and 60, making it a highly composite number.
