Memory surface is now smaller, so less cosmic rays are hitting it, but with these numbers, I am probably having 128 errors/month. So, 4.2 errors a day. Time to toss my computer....

This is why several institutions have failed to create cheap supercomputers by clustering 1,000's of consumer machines together. As the cluster grows there will always be a few machines that are experiencing cosmic ray induced glitches.

@AymanElNa7rawy that is why Einsteins law of "only stupid repeats the same thing with the same variables and expects different results" (or whatever i don't remember) doesn't apply to CS (on my pc like 32 error per month , one bit error per day, one of them can be BIT OF Death -
I hope I really could find a meaningful answer
but "predicts" is not "concludes"

That's a lot more than I expected. I hope in virtually all cases the effects are benign (perhaps like random mutations of your DNA?). Is sensitive equipment (surgical machines, pacemakers, ATMs, airplanes) protected against cosmic rays?
