Kale is cavolo nero in my culture, we cook it with garlic and oil and then it’s perfectly nice. It’s rubbish for salads and smoothies which is the trend. Never tried chips, but I’m assuming that involves cooking it so

Good 1st aid? Hold under cold water... buffered ice cubes etc. Had a bowl of kale salad one evening, (rare event). Every time we topped up, the kale in the salad bowl would expand, so always remained at same height. Now dubbed Lindsay Salad, after The Magic Pudding.
