They have acknowledged receipt of my application. Curious how long a full response will take. In August 2021 they notified me I would be eligible for PSLF in January 2022. So their records should be complete.

As other successful applicants have said on here, I'm happy to talk about my experience. It was terrifying to hope. We are now just waiting on a decision about my wife's debt (~$130k for undergrad + grad).

If both my wife and I have our debt forgiven, that will be $700/month we can instead use in our local economy to support the community flourishing.

Again: It should not be this hard. Educational debt should not exist. #CancelStudentDebt for everyone. Then do medical debt. Then do school lunch debt. Then house everyone. No one should be indebted for basic necessities full stop.

Congratulations! (They've acknowledged receipt of my application, though I haven't reached a full decade yet. Did they calculate from when you started payments? As in, did the ending date line up with the start date?)

Yes, though I was in an IBR and working at a nonprofit from the start. So it was a pretty clean case of 120 qualifying payments = ten years. (The last two in COVID forbearance.)
