That's an over generalization. Nothing is as simple as white and black. Context matters.

No one deserves to be assaulted, physically or sexually. The MASSIVE majority of violence that occurs against women isn't actively incited, it isn't self-defense. That you would justify the actions of people who abuse women like this is sickening.

Dude, if you can't control yourself enough to not brutalize anyone who tries to hit you then I don't know what to tell you. You're irredeemable. Hope you never have a partner who has to deal with your "I fight back" mentality.
-
Im sorry, but if they try to hit you, they should expect to be hit back. Of course one should try to keep cool. But if violence there is, then violence in self defense is justified. Period. That's equality for you.

Quote from you above: "Dude, if you can't control yourself enough to not brutalize anyone who tries to hit you then I don't know what to tell you." So no, on this thread at least, we're talking self defense. As you admit yourself above.

Whatever dude, have fun retweeting skeptics and defending domestic assault :)

What if the woman hits a man first? O_o
-
Then wouldn't they be to blame for female violence against men?
-
Yeah. I'm just being a smartass. :P

Context matters

The hell it does. Men are responsible for their actions just like everyone else. Who raised you?

Why does context of the matter mean I’m talking one specific gender? I’m talking about a general case here

I'd say there are two exceptions: wives who abuse their husbands and moms who abuse their kids. Apart from that, men and women are their own moral agents responsible for their own actions.
-
Wives who abuse their husbands?
Funny, when husbands abuse their wives, it is still the wives’ fault. If a woman kills a man in self-defense, that same exception isn’t granted to her. These responses highlight how deeply entranched patriarchy and misogyny is in women. -
Justice applies both ways. We must be consistent. Those who cite patriarchy focus on the evil of men while ignoring the good, and the good of women while ignoring the evil. MRAs often do the same, but reversed. True justice is balance.
-
Your argument is basically excusing evil women because some evil men shafted good women. In what universe is that justice? (And before you accuse me of this, I am not excusing bad men cuz bad women shafted good men either.)
