If you can't see him as a villain because he like you maybe you should start rethinking your life.
-
Well, he's a sympathetic villain. One of the videos I linked in my review does a side-by-side comparison showing how his life arc is basically the same as Batman's, with the only difference being how and where he chose to channel his energy ...
-
... that of course makes him a villain and he needs to go down, but it's to the credit of T'Challa that he's able to deradicalize him before he dies and even offers to heal him (physically and spiritually).

Killmonger killed several innocents, destabilized the most powerful African nation in the world and usurped his cousin. He’s a villian because of those actions not his ideas

I agree with most of what's in this article, except one thing: I do think killmonger is a villain, or at least an anti villain. As noble as his goals may be, his methods to reach them are still nothing short of villainous.
-
I agree he was a well written villain but his philosophy basically makes him black hitler
-
Hm. There's a difference between overthrowing oppressors (part of Killmonger's plan) and subjugating people based largely on racial / ethnic distinctions...
-
Tbh the comparison to hitler is a bit on the nose but his ideas are certainly national socialist

You're literally praising a character who murdered several innocent people including women just because you can't get over the movie having anything other than a white male as its main villain
-
Why mentioning that they are women ? Except in the museum all the women he killed were trained warriors. Thats equality if u ask me
-
Cause its feminist frequency who constantly accuse people of perpetuating violence against women yet here are praising a character who actually committed violence against women
-
Any true feminist would be offended that you think that a trained female soldier shouldnt be dealt the same way.

"his own flesh and blood, treated him with the same fear, criminalization and contempt, as the oppressors of black folks throughout the diaspora that Killmonger died trying to defeat." I mean he was going to be responsible for a mass race war so maybe he shouldn't lose sleep.
