The first two episodes of STD made me incredibly angry, didn't give it another chance until your podcast mentally prepped me for the worst. Just binged it, noticed that the warmongers/assholes are all men, and every woman by comparison is capable and acts reasonable on this show

.. except Landry, who is swiftly punished for "following Lorca's way." Even on the Klingon side the least-bad character is L'Rell. So I'm thinking: could they be trying to make a Trojan horse for the type of people who agree with Lorca's way of thinking?
-
Mind you, if so the execution is crap; I'm NOT excusing any of the problems with the show. But it's like half of STD's writing team makes Lorca horrible on purpose, and the other half goes "yeah but he's right, because 'Klingons' (conveniently vilified as primitive warmongers)."
-
Not mansplaining; you touched on all of this directly and indirectly in your podcast. What I'm asking (as one of your three listeners) is: do you think there's any hope that they'll somewhat salvage this show that way over the next seasons?
-
Probably not...but hope springs eternal
-
I suppose expecting anything but the worst at this point is highly illogical
Fingers crossed that the alluded Klingon matriarchs turn out to be some kind of suppressed voice of (relative) reason within the Klingon empire, instead of the more likely straw feminist bullshit.

Startrek discovery is not startrek. It is a failed ideology in attempts to take over a movie culture in hopes to spread it's equally failed propaganda.
