        Just watched it and your review! I really liked the episode though. I was getting the vibe that the captain is supposed to come off as sinister and manipulative, and that he will probably turn out to be the villain. I could be projecting though...

        Now that I think of it, it might mean they're setting things up that Michael will start yet another mutiny eventually against this captain. Maybe to prevent a war crime or an escalation, But of course this time no one likes or trusts her. Saru even kind of foreshadowed this,
