"The hate women get online for being involved in games is vile," and Twitch needs to do better at shutting it down.http://www.kotaku.co.uk/2017/08/11/someone-live-streamed-themselves-sexually-harassing-me …

@Twitch might want to start by recognizing sex-based hate speech against women at all in its rules. IT'S LIKE THE ONLY THING NOT INCLUDED??pic.twitter.com/sCg4gVw4Tz

I feel like "gender identity" should cover this issue. Why wouldn't it?

If one harasses someone for having a female body, how does that relate to their gender identity? It could literally be anything.

Fair point. I guess I assumed that part covered cis people as well as trans people, but it does make sense to have both gender & sex listed

No your instincts were right. "Gender identity" absolutely includes trans people. "Sex" would be the less inclusive term.

Women are harassed for having a female body, not for "identifying as women". By denying this, you're being no better than any random MRA.

In reference to discrimination, "sex" is generally agreed to be outdated and non inclusive. The preferred term is gender or gender identity.

Women are harassed for any number of reasons, whether certain body parts are there, not there, or assumed to be there.

It's not a female problem, it's a universal problem. Stop trying to get offended by everything.

She was offended by offensive behavior, no "trying" required. Where such behavior is "universal" is irrelevant. It needs to stop.

Well they might as well say that it's universal. It is relevant. They're coating it in drama for clicks. It's ridiculous.
