Great video, but could you please use an altenative to “homophobic” in the future? That word is ablist and wrong.https://amp.businessinsider.com/an-argument-against-the-word-homophobic-2015-9 …

People with phobias are affected by that much in the same way gay people are by the anti-gay imagery.

Well when ignorant people stop literally having a *phobia* of homosexuality maybe we won't need the word at all.

That we don’t say “gynophobia” or “blackphobia” should show you we don’t need that word, does it?

Well at the end of the day if you're concerned about the use of a term you think should only be applied to you then you're a bigot

Know why social justice has been losing popularity? Because you sound just like the religious right. Change or die as a movement.

One should be aware though that not every joke w/ Trump & Putin as lovers is homophobic. Colbert's wasn't.

If possible in a tweet, can you tell me why? I felt them both being guys was not relevant for the joke, the power relation was.

The jokes blatantly imply that two men being intimate is a taboo. Colbert's was by far one of the worse.

The danger exists that homophobes add this meaning to their reading of it. It's not there in the actual text, however.

Colbert made fun of Trump's position in a power relationship not the fact that both are men.

By saying he's Putin's pickle holster, he's using the concept of male/male sexuality as a derogatory term. It's not good.

In your logic the sex of the two is crucial. So if Trump were female Colbert would've made a heterophobic joke?
