If he had been held accountable for his prior violence against women and others, what happened in Orlando might have been averted.

Also could have been averted if the GOP hadn't blocked the bill to bar suspects of terror from buying guns. Two-fold failure here.

Both the legal system in regards to domestic abuse and the US Congress allowed this to happen by their purposeful inaction.

Congress more so than just the judiciary, since Congress could also improve domestic abuse law in addition to gun control law
