That's also a neat way to divert the topic away from sexism/misogyny in our own backyard, on our TV and computer screens, in our schools, and existing within our interpersonal relationships.

If anything, we can only hope to be a leading example for the rest of the world on how women should be treated within society. If we divert advancing feminism in the first world and demonstrate a poor example it may cause a ripple effect on how women are treated globally.
