    Just cause the olympic committee says "sport is neutral" does not make it so. Sports, along with all media express values and beliefs and therefore are political. They are platforms with huge audiences and as such should absolutely be sites where players protest injustice.

    The games industry's failure to take GamerGate (including all the preceding years of abuse leading up to it) seriously is a massive failure. A failure that sadly, has had widespread consequences for American and global politics.
