Thanks for pointing this out. I used https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skylake_(microarchitecture) … & didn't look at GPU. The 6920HQ is correct though.

Added Geekbench & additional row of deltas to my comparison of
#MacBookPro 2012 & 2016 components. CPUs now looking a lot better.pic.twitter.com/uaNfSYQCBf

very useful; thank you! do SSD benchmarks exist yet?

I saw some for the 256 GB SSD in the 13" base model (without Touchbar) at OWC. Updated table here:https://twitter.com/felix_schwarz/status/792656577266409472 …

BTW, regarding SSD pricing: I was surprised to see there aren't many cheaper NVMe SSD with comparable perf: https://www.heise.de/preisvergleich/?cat=hdssd&xf=221_2000%7E222_1000%7E252_1000%7E5940_NVMe#xf_top …

(which to me shows that – even if SSDs should be swappable & OWC/Transcend offer them (w/ premium!) – I'll likely not save any money)

I made this table primarily to help me decide which model to buy and if an update is worth it.
@razer isn't an option for me. Sorry. -
curious on what you ultimately decided on
-
I purchased a 15" MBP w/ maxed out CPU & GPU options and 1 TB SSD.

Late to this but that's what I'm looking to replace a 2012 MBPr 2.6ghz 16GB... how you finding the new one?
-
Coming from the 2.3 GHz 2012 model, I can feel a subtle performance improvement. Still not sure it's worth €4000 though.

I know that apple has ditched many of us with compatibility, but that mere 8.9% gain is on Intel

I wonder how those numbers would compare to the new
