Today it's about getting #macOS-running hardware that's not outdated.

@uliwitness I think there's hope when Sierra is out. They probably want to ship w USB 3.1 (+TB3) & refs to that are in the Sierra API Diffs. -
@felix_schwarz That'd be good. But in general, Apple just need to rev those machines a tad more frequently. All high-ends are kinda dated. -
@uliwitness Absolutely. The mini especially was marginalized with the 2012 > 2014 downgrade – and hasn't been left for dead since. :-(

@felix_schwarz@marcoarment I’ve moved my server over to FreeBSD, as there seems to be no hope of any 18 wheelers coming from Apple. -
@schamschula@marcoarment Did the same in 2012. FreeBSD+ZFS are addictive when it comes to storage and backups.
