i’m sure some posts have been removed because people went too far, either op or comments, but i usually see posts that got removed because they didn’t follow the rules. as long as everyone is civil and op accepts judgement it’s all good!

I don't find these results too surprising since we only hear the OPs side of things. It would be interesting to see the data on the ones that get the most activity, and how the decisions skew for those. My hypothesis: it'll skew higher towards YTA. Everyone loves a good hate.

I’m not saying the data is wrong, but the angsty 15 year olds that vote for OP to disown family over relatively minor inconvenience skews the definition of what an asshole is by a lot imo

I really want to do a study on ethics and our assumptions, to figure out a) what percent of men/women are TA, and b) whether that changes when the gender is edited out. I keep hearing the votes are biased toward women, but women are the ones who write in when they're obv not TA!

This is best I got by analyzing >90k /r/amItheAsshole posts by their use of "he/his/boyfriend" vs "she/her/girlfriend". Summary: reddit is nicer to women than to men, as it tends to judge that the one talking about them is the asshole instead. Thoughts?pic.twitter.com/GnPEIJwHio
