Mac App Store Developer Survey: http://mjtsai.com/blog/2016/08/20/mac-app-store-developer-survey/ … #mjtsaiblog
@mjtsai Their stats are completely skewed. And no offense, but they of course want to hook up devs to their non-MAS distribution platform.

@fehnman They’re skewed by whoever chose to participate, but not sure how to get around that. -
@mjtsai Just look at the App Review results. Time is down to 1 day on average – sometimes just mere hours. - View other replies

@mjtsai 70% of those outside MAS have never even tried it. It's pure hearsay. -
@mjtsai Those that distribute on and off MAS have no stats to show if users came from MAS – i.e. benefit from exposure, but sell outside. - View other replies

@fehnman No stats the other way, either. Anecdotally, I hear more from customers who found my site and then bought from the MAS. -
@mjtsai I'm not saying it's one way or the other. But the results are meaningless without additional info. -
@mjtsai E.g., it should read: IF you're selling both via MAS and your own store, revenue is identical. But they just drop the IF part.

@fehnman FWIW, I was surveyed but am not a DevMate customer.
