So the aim of that bulky cop is to stop any footage of would be police brutality? Charming.

Precisely. And this was before a
@PortlandPolice cop and I had a conversation about homeless folks, in which he stated that “poor people get themselves into that situation.” With 50+% of arrests being houseless...hm. Is this what@ChiefDOutlaw approved training tells them or? -
No idea. I guess thinkers become academics not policemen.
-
The psychological and personality tests they take weed out anyone who thinks for themselves or anyone with empathy.
-
And police culture takes care of the rest. My cousin, basically big brother at that point, was amazing and funny and 5 years of being on the job turned him into a bigot who told stories of police brutality and laughed about them.

Never assume anything you see on social media is real or fake. Do assume that these officers of the law are over worked and underpaid for the bullahit they have to deal with because people cannot be civilized human beings.
-
If it’s so stressful they can obtain other employment rather than beating someone with all their gear and weaponry upon a lady in a red dress. An Over reaction by fascist cops loving to pick on people who cannot fight back.
-
Stressful? So what? They knew that the day they applied. People who become cops do it solely for the better than average pay/benefits, the ability to carry a gun, and being able to use power of force behind a badge. There is no excuse for brutality.
-
I never said brutality is right or excusable. But when grown men and women tease, provoke and manipulate...That's not ok either. Both sides- all sides- our children are watching.
-
Tease??? Jesus Christ
-
Love too go to a jail for felony teasing

What was the protest for?

Various armed white supremacists groups, such as this specific group of hardcore nazis from Utah decided to come to Portland to intimidate people, recruit and show, once again, that they are welcomed by

Extreme & unnecessary use of force. 5 cops against an UNARMED woman?! So what if she spat! Is that life-threatening to 5 cops? This was about their wounded pride & fragile egos. They should all be dismissed & placed in offices fetching coffee for secretaries.
#PortlandPolice -
To be fair, she was armed with spit and a nauseating sense of untouchable self-importance. Cop numbers ensure a clean arrest with little opportunity for this woman to cry foul, which she will do given the opportunity.
-
And the cops totally don't have untouchable self-importance
