    Great suggestions on team slide in decks. Nobody cares about team members’ names, or their titles at your company, very much. But what exactly they did before to make them stand out to you is critical.

    Imagine being a prospector and finding a vein of gold. Would you be better served setting up a mine to harvest that mother lode or set out looking for another vein? It may be boring, dirty, and dangerous work, but building on your success is almost always the right choice. /4

    We recommend companies explain stock options in the context of the “preferred equivalent value” of the startup at its current valuation. For instance, “Investors most recently would have paid $100K to purchase these shares and they invested hoping for multiples in return.” /6
